    HP Pavilion Laptop DV6597 ES

    Hi.....i used to use Ubuntu on my desktop pc.....now i got a brand new hp pavilion laptop DV6597 ES,
    I want to install kunbuntu on this laptop is a dualcore.....and i dont know if i can use all the hardware if everything will work properly......please let me know about.......where i can get some help on this.

    Try a LiveCD. Things usually work as they do in the LiveCD, but some things that don't wok might be fixable once you've installed Kubuntu.

    EDIT: The two most annoying things are sound and wireless cards. Sound can probably be resolved, as can the wireless.

      Is that a 64-bit chip? If so, you'll want to install the "AMD 4" version of Kubuntu.

        The easiest thing may even by just to install it and find out. Often the few things that don't work straight of can be fixed. And you can always just wipe it later.
