I have been having an issue with USB Hubs since I started to use Linux. For some odd reason, my USB headsets (DSP-500 Plantronics) does not work properly when connected to the hub. Sometimes it would skip on me, whenever you start a song you would stop hearing the music after 2 seconds and need to start it up again, booting up kubuntu with absolutely no sound coming from the headsets. I went as far as buying another powered USB hub. The reason I do not connect it directly is because I only have two ports on my laptop and One is reserved for the hub and the other for my mouse since the cord is too short to be connected to the hub.
Any help is appreciated.
P.S: When I boot kubuntu with no sound coming from the headsets it crashes any audio program when attempting to play something.
