Kubuntu 7.10, KDE, Mobility radeon 7500, Dual screen problem

Hi

I'm trying to setup external monitor on my IBM R40 laptop, Kubuntu 7.10, KDE 3.5.8.
Graphics card is ATI Mobility Radeon 7500.

I've already tried to follow some guidelines on forums, edit xorg.conf etc., but no success.
I can see the same picture on both monitors, but that's as far as I come.

If I try to setup dual screen, KDE does not start any more.

Any advice?

Maybe related to this?
As a temporary solution I've downgraded xserver-xorg-video-ati to Feisty.
