Option to create a boot floppy during install

I can't seem to use Kubuntu at all, since every time I install it I get a grub error 17. This never happened to me using LILO (which isn't an option during install that I've found), and at the very least, it wouldn't be a problem if Kubuntu let me create a boot floppy like Redhat did back when I used that 2-3 years ago. As it is right now, it seems I'm going to be stuck with Windows, since a search yielded results on the grub problem that go back to June with no known fixes, and a couple of people that got lucky on retries.

Try the "alternate installer" CD. I believe that there's a boot floppy option there, but I"m not sure.

Sorry for bump. I'd still really appreciate that if there was an Option to create a boot floppy during installation.

I too always seem to eat my system a lot and end up continuously getting Grub Error 17.
