What about a better System Settings - Control panel / centre?

Dear friends, despite the fact that some of you just like the control panel (System Settings) of Kubuntu, I really think that it could be way better. Some other distributions, perhaps not so "friendly" and widely used as Ubuntu/Kubuntu claims to be, have a more organized, complete and easy to understand and use control centre! See SuSE and Mandriva, particularly, and Kurumin (Brazilian Linhux based on Knoppix).

Anyone else agrees?

Yes better mouse support would be greatly appreciated, right now it's second rate at best. Standard left/right click and scroll is all I get. Additional buttons do not behave properly if the do anything at all.

I agree. Mandriva/pclinux has a much more evolved CP (system settings) I don't like yast.
We still have kcontrol

There's a long time since I used YaST but I remember it was easy to use... and complete.
I don't think Kcontrol is great (complete and easy to use) eventhough I like KDE.

Since (K)Ubuntu is so good, solid and easy to use, I think a better control center is worth doing.
