Winmodem support

Hi

I'm a Kubuntu newbie, & have run into the issue of Winmodem support. I'm sure you are already familiar with the problem - and am not sure that there is a "solution". Would "better" winmodem support be possible in Dapper Drake?

Winmodem support comes in the form of the Linuxant program. While it's not free, it does usually work. Visit the Linuxant site for the details.
