Hi All,
This is my wish list for future versions:
1. SAMBA server installed and configured by default. Kubuntu must be able to perform in a Windows network the same as a Windows machine in a simple (painless) way.
A 'My Shared Files' folder must be created by default and the user should be prompted at installation to activate it.
2. Ubuntu developers must focus on make Wine more useful for a new user coming from Windows. The most used Windows applications must fully work on Ubuntu (ie: Office 2003 is not fully working with Wine).
3. Things like encrypted DVD copy and playback must be easy for the user. A wizard to install required libraries must be done.
4. An 'auto-repairing' boot option must be added to return to a default working system state for video and other basic hardware configurations, avoiding re-installation.
My two cents.
JB.
