    Dependancy installs

    I would really appreciate the Kubuntu package installer to go out and do something like the rpm's do/used to do.
    When I install a .deb file by right clicking - and pointing to the installer, it goes and checks the dependancies - Great. However it does not install Missing dependancies.

    Case in point, I tried to install a MUD Client a few days ago, failed cause there was about 30 deps missing. Took me 2 days in my spare time to install them using adept.

    Why can't the installer just go and grab and install them?

    Thank you

    Andrew

    Gutsy uses gdebi by default for local debs, and takes care of dependencies.

        well, it's not quite a long time to wait for the stable release;
        it's already behaving quite well for a developement release
