Firefox and Flash/Gnash not working

Hello,
I'm running the herd1 release of Feisty and am having some trouble with Firefox and flash/gnash. I have installed them both using synaptic (Firefox and Gnash), and they didn't work, so I tried manually as well and got the same result!(Gnash, Flash 7, and 9 beta ) Any thoughts?

do you mean firefox AND gnash/flash didn't work? they both work for me. i just have the flash 9 beta plugin. that couldn't get any easier to install. just extract the libflashplayer.so file to /usr/lib/firefox/plugins (assuming thats where your correct plugins dir is) via root.

if firefox isn't working you'll have to give more info. its not enough. do you mean it isn't starting? does synaptic say its broken? are your permission correct?
