Have an old AMD Duron system with a legacy Nvidia Vanta card. The Vanta card just isn't making it. I can get a used Nvidia GeForce4 or 5 card off of eBay for less than $20.00. Would that card accept the nvidia-glx driver without a problem? If someone with more knowledge than I could tell me? Thanks.

A lot of folks seem to be using the Nvidia FX 5200s and 5500s -- I think some of them are integrated and some are add-on graphics cards. I'd go with the 5000 series, if you can. According to the Nvidia download side, the newest 169.09 driver runs the 5000 series cards, so you could use nvidia-glx-new.
