Downloaded a copy of g4l and untared it, but am left with what I guess is an ISO file. How do I burn this thing to use it? Attached jpeg of file. Thanks.

Not an .iso, but a package to create a CD. There isn't a README file withing the tar file? Assuming the make cd file is executable (should be), open a console shell, change in to the directory that this file is in, and type:
Code:makecd
Windows no longer obstructs my view.

I just downloaded g4l and checked it out. What I "think" you have to do is insert a blank CD-ROM into your drive, navigate to the g4l directory in Konsole, and enter either "./makecd create" or "sudo ./makecd create". I really don't feel like using one of the few CD's I have left to experiment with, sorry.
The easiest thing would probably be to just download and burn the actual .iso file with k3b.Asus G1S-X3:
