    how to change the default calculator in my multimedia keyboard?

    I really don't like speedcrunch and I'd like to use kcalc instead.

    Unfortunately, kubuntu binds automatically speedcrunch to the calculator key I have on my keyboard, anybody know how to assign kcalc to the calculator key?

      I like kcalc better, too. I just put an icon on the desktop. One click and it's open, and after that you just use the keypad.

        That's not a good solution for me ... I tend to fill the whole desktop with windows (I even set kicker to autohide)

          Have you tried K > System Settings > Keyboard&Mouse -> Keyboard Shortcuts ?
          or
          K > System Settings > Accessibility -> Input Actions ? (PrintScreen -> KSnapShot is here)
