    Kaffeine won't play video DVD

When I try to play a video DVD with Kaffeine I get an error message that says, "No plugin found to handle this resource (dvd:///dev/scd0)" Went to Kaffeine web site and searched FAQs. Found one that said I didn't need a plugin, I needed xine-lib and win32 codecs. It assumes that I know what these are and how to use them. I don't. Went to Adept and couldn't find them there.

    What to do?

    Thanks!

You can install "kubuntu-restricted-extras", this should enable Kaffeine to play DVD's.

You can also use VLC player (package "vlc"), which plays DVD's and most other formats fine by itself.
