[solved]Key not found for KDE 3.5.8 (I did not follow directions)

I am sorry to bother you with this because I did not follow the directions closely and was just click happy.

I added the repository for KDE 3.5.8 and naturally the update icon came up. So I closed adept and clicked the update icon next to the clock instead of doing as I was told / read.
Now I can not get into adept because it says it is still running. I tried
    $sudo dpkg --configure --pending
and clicked "Y" for all of the packages, but to no avail.
Reason I did not FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS and never told it where the key is saved to.
Any ideas on how to fix this.
Sorry again for my click happy frenzy I will try to control them in the future

        You're welcome.
