locked out of package manager

I am unable to access Package manager and keep getting a message
E: Malformed line 45 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (type)
E: The list of sources could not be read.

Can i unlock it somehow please.

In console window (kmenu -> system -> konsole) enter

cat /etc/apt/sources.list

and paste the output. People here should be able to tell you what you need to change.
