    Burn speed is low

    Hi.

    Can't get much more than 5X burnspeed from my CDRW. I have tried different burners with the same result so it's not a harware issue. However I found some clues.
    Typing ~$ sudo hdparm /dev/hdc in konsole give this:

    /dev/hdc:
    IO_support = 1 (32-bit)
    unmaskirq = 1 (on)
    using_dma = 1 (on)
    keepsettings = 0 (off)
    readonly = 0 (off)
    readahead = 256 (on)
    HDIO_GETGEO failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device

    And in the ~/.kde/share/apps/k3b/lastlog i found this lines:

    [cdrecord] /usr/bin/wodim: Operation not permitted. Warning: Cannot raise RLIMIT_MEMLOCK limits.scsidev: '/dev/hdc'
    [cdrecord] devname: '/dev/hdc'

    If averything whas ok I think this would look like:

    [cdrecord] scsidev: '/dev/hdc'
    [cdrecord] devname: '/dev/hdc'

    If this is a driver problem is there any way to reinstall drivers whitout reinstalling the whole system and if so what drivers should I reinstal?

    Any suggestions would be helpfull.
