    Problem installing an NVIDIA card

I've installed an NVIDIA 128MB GeForece4 MX440 AGP graphics card. I used konsole to install the nvidia-glx, changed the "nv" to "nvidia" in xorg.conf, and rebooted. But when I try to configure the card there's nothing in the settings box. Konsole gave me the following error messages:

    jacatone@Dell:~$ sudo nvidia-settings
    Password:

ERROR: NV-CONTROL extension not found on this Display.

ERROR: Unable to determine number of NVIDIA GPUs on ':0.0'.

Anyone know how to fix this? I've also attached a jpeg of the Nvidia Settings box. Thanks.
