I used Kmenuedit to change the icon of dolphin to a customized one. Afterwards, many icons in the Kmenu have disappeared. I have never touched them before. No matter, I just manually restored them with Kmenuedit.
But afterwards, the system tray icons of many such applications became corrupted, being replaced by "empty document" icons (screenshot: the two "empty" icons are Katapult and Ktorrent respectively
When I launch Katapult I was again greeted with an blank doc icon (screenshot)
My usr/share/applications/KDE/ looks like this, note the many blank icons. I can edit each .desktop file to make the proper icons to appear on that screen, but that does not help with the tray icons.
Can anyone tell me what has gone wrong. A thousand thanks.
