    VMWare Sound Issues

I recently installed a copy of XP on a VMWare partition and I've run into a problem in trying to get sound out of Windows. When I try to sound to connect, i get the following in a pop-up window:

Error: Failed to open sound device /dev/dsp: Device or resource busy
Failed to connect virtual device sound.
Can anybody help me with this?

    Re: VMWare Sound Issues

I have to shut down anything in Linux that could potentially use sound (like Firefox), before running VMWare Player, for sound to work in VMWare Player.

I tried the link and it didn't work. I'm not really concerned about getting sound, but it would be nice to have for a couple of things. Thanks!
