bad device problem

Hi,
ok I got the Bad device error. Found in the forum how to fix it "gksu gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf " And now I get this "X Error: BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input device 167

Well, your posting in Kubuntu Feisty, and Kubuntu uses KDE, but the commands you're issuing are for a Gnome desktop environment.

If in fact you have Kubuntu Feisty installed, then you should be issuing the command as follows:

kdsu kate /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Try and see if that doesn't make a difference.

That should be "kdesu kate /etc/X11/xorg.conf".
