kubuntu feisty hangs on logout problem (solved)

Hi all,

I have this problem with kubuntu in feisty-when i try to log out to get back to kdm, so I can log in to fluxbox for its low memory useage- kubuntu just hangs with a black screen. Sometimes the mouse pointer will still move, other times it is frozen. I can not log into another terminal with ctrl-alt-f1-the only option is to hit the power button on the laptop and reboot.

If I logout out of fluxbox i do not get this problem, nor with enlightenment e17, so kubuntu is doing something.

Any ideas-apart from this one silly glitch kubuntu is a great desktop system.

You could try the instructions someone recently posted here, though that solution doesn't work for everyone...
Also, note there is a difference between [X-:*-Core] and [X-*-Core].
