    amarok "now playing" line

hey, i was wondering if this is happening for anyone else. the "now playing" line in amarok appears as code(?) instead of how it's supposed to be displayed:

you can barely see it (must be a limit on picture size here) but, what i'm talking about is bottom left under the play/stop, etc buttons.

    Hmm. That's very odd.
I take it you have a theme installed and used... Which?

i haven't installed any additional themes. it's as it comes through initial install from disk and then updating through adept.

here's a slightly (only slightly...linking pics doesn't work so well here) better picture of what i'm talking about:

Yeah, if you open the image (e.g. in another tab), you can see it fine.
Anyway, the cause is that Amarok is being sent HTML where it expects plain text, so it's showing you what it was sent, character for character.

You can try moving ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok and ~/.kde/share/config/amarokrc to another name (after closing Amarok fully) and re-opening Amarok, and see if that fixes it.
