qemu help

I have set up qemu with W2K following the instructions on this page: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...UnderQemuHowTo
and it works fine, but when I shut it down it doesn't save my install and it requires a fresh install each time I start it. which is a pain in the ars. I followed the instructions for "Saving and Restoring the State of the VM" but when I enter

qemu windows.ovl -enable-audio -user-net -localtime -smb qemu_share

it says that

qemu: invalid option -- '-enable-audio'

and same with -user-net. so I take those things out and it starts loading, but it gets to the blue "windows is starting page and then it starts over and will continue looping until I tell it to stop.

Please, if there is anyone out there who can help with this it would really make my day.

I have searched through the qemu documentation and have not found the solution, I'm wondering if there is anyone out there that can guide me through this?
