    Okay D3lphin looks great - but I am still having problems making it work like I want to:

    I have the split screen mode, but what I want is for it to act like M$ explorer. Click on a folder in the left panel and I would like the contents of that folder to display in the right column. I have it set for detail view which is what I want.

    Any suggestions?

      What you probably want is the Tree-list view. Unfortunately, that doesn't exist in D3lphin yet. That feature was added to Dolphin for KDE 4 only. But Konqueror has that as a navigation panel/side bar.
