In order to install global extensions in Firefox, it must load with the ability to alter its install folder - that is, it must be run as root.
In Konsole
No windows appear outside the Konsole during this. The result is the same whether Firefox is already running or not. The result is the same, less the two relevant lines, if I run with the -H parameter.
I am not sure if this belongs here, on the Firefox support site, on the KDE support site, or on some as-yet-undiscovered Konsole support site. If I guessed wrong, please point me to the right one.
