gimp will not print

hello,

am trying to get GIMP to print but it won't work.
tried installing it via sudo apt-get and it has nothing to update.
the error message states that "lp : error no predefined printer" and then another stating "plug_in_handle_tile_req : error"

any ideas?

Do you have any printers set up under System Settings > Printers?

I have already installed a printer. Epson stylus c84. It prints other documents such as openoffice, gwenview....
