Remote Deskto to Kubuntu Box

I've setup remote desktop to my Kubuntu box and everything works fine (connected to it to VNC Viewer). However, if I need to reboot the box for whatever reason, I can't remote desktop to it until I login physically to the machine itself. Is there a way to get around that?
