Update & Automatix 2 has error msg

    Hi all,

I did an update and now Automatix 2 thinks my OS is other then Feisty. The error msg reads Automatix 2 is only for Feisty.

1.) What file tells or identifies the system version?
2.) What should or how should that file read in order to properly identify my OS as Feisty?

    Thnaks for your help,
    Paul 8)

I would ask the automatix guys on this one, as i don't know how it determines what you are running. Did you possibly upgrade to Gutsy?

Oh the continuing joys (and tribulations) of Automatix users! :P

        Thanks for your reply's,

No, It was a fresh install when Feisty first was released. I have been very careful to update only feisty. No problem,
I can get the needed programs from other sources.

It just would have been nice if Automatix2 would work.

If the Automatix guys have done at least one thing right, they should check /etc/issue, which tells the OS and version of the system. Does /etc/issue say you're running Ubuntu 7.04? (Ubuntu instead of Kubuntu is normal.)

            Hi SheeEttin,

Thanks for your help. I will give /etc/issue a look tonight when I come home from the office.

            Thank you,
            Paul
