    Transkode Script Not Listed

    am I doing something wrong?

I recently updated my Kubuntu box to Feisty, and now I have Amarok 1.4.7. A time ago I switched to ogg vorbis all my music and in past Amarok versions Transkode script was easy to install, but now transkode is not listed in the scripts list Any idea why?

I'm now unable to sync my iPod and I resist to switch to mp3 again!!!

    So Help!!!

    Best,
    Beowulf

    Re: Transkode Script Not Listed

I don't speak or read Italian, but this Italian Blog is about TransKode and Amarok, and the date indicates it is recent.

If you read Italian, good. If not, you might post a question there and ask for an English translation?

        Re: Transkode Script Not Listed

The Italian page gave me some clues, here is the solution:

        First install some dependency libraries:
        sudo apt-get install libpng3 libtag1c2a libtagc0 libtagc0-dev libtag1-dev faad faac flac lame

Then download transkode 0.6 (27512-transkode-0.6.amarokscript.tar.bz2) and once in Amarok go to the menu Tools -> Script Manager and click Install, browse for the file, run it and configure the script as desired.

        My iPod is back!!!!

        Thanks!

          Re: Transkode Script Not Listed

I think the script list has just grown a bit lately, and the transkode script has just kinda fallen under the radar as it hasn't been updated in a little while.
You can manually download it from kde-apps.org HERE and install it very easily via Amarok's script dialogs

*Ah, see you got it already *
