I currently use Kopete for all my instant messaging needs, but keep running into a problem viewing my friend's webcams. It worked for 1 session (and I didn't change anything) but now whenever someone invites me to view their webcam I'll click Accept and the window for the incoming webcam appears, but with the message "webcam is not available".
I know this isn't a problem with the the person sending the webcam because they said they had someone else viewing at the same time.
As for aMSN, on my last distro of linux, I had the same problem with Kopete and I used aMSN and that worked fine for the webcam. So I just tried installing it using Adept and when I tried to open the program I had the bouncing aMSN icon for a few moments and it just gave up. I tried this again and I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling using Synaptic, but that didn't work either.
I'd rather fix the Kopete problem and be done with it, but if any one has any solutions for either programs, please let me know.
Thanks
