Filezilla (transfer filezilla.xml from Windows to Kubuntu?)

I am running Filezilla 3.0.0-beta7 on both Windows XP and Kubuntu. I thought it would be a simple matter of exporting all of my login and server data to a filezilla.xml file and then importing that same file on my Kubuntu system. For some reason this fails. Any suggestions?

I know this isn't any answer, but I would like to tell my story.

I have been working for a long time with filezilla in windows and it was great. Filezilla in Kubuntu does not work as flawlessly as in Kubuntu, so I only use Konqueror. The crazy thing with Konqueror is, that it opens an extra ftp connections when working with ftp on the same server. This is pretty inconvenient when some ISP' only allow four connections. This can be troublesome because after a while, the connection will get lost.

Thanks. It has been an interesting comparison living with a dual boot system. I am not going to go into any comparisons here but this is one issue I have had. Maybe someone can come up with a solution. I have a lot of server information on my Windows Filezilla. Transferring them by had will be a pain. Thanks for your observations about the FTP clients.

That's not something with Konqueror. It's part of the FTP spec itself.
I saw this whole rant on FTP being inherently bad (for today's Internet), but I can't find it now...
