    KNetworkManager doesn't open

I'm new to Linux so I am probably doing something silly. When I try to open KNetworkManager by clicking on it from Kmenu, it doesn't open. I see a brief flash as if it were going to open but it doesn't. I tried moving the shortcut to the desktop and double click from there, but it doesn't help.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

Right-click the icon in the system try.

      Thanks,

I did say that I was new - but not quite that new. It never appears in the system tray.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it doesn't seem to help. I do remember seeing it in the list of processes that was running earlier on - even though I couldn't see it running.
