    Amarok problem

Ok ever since i reinstalled Kubuntu from a very short stint with OpenSUSE and i mean very short as in a few hours. Well Amarok is very very sluggish and I dont know why. I wont let me install MP3 support as it keeps hanging. Can anyone offer any help?

The "top" command will show you a table of processes, listed in order of CPU usage. That might shed some light on what is going on with your system. I'm guess that something else, like xorg, is hogging the resources, and making Amarok look slow.

Another approach is to unistall Amarok, reboot, and then reinstall Amarok. See if it then works as expected.
