Kdelibs5 Kdelibs5-Dev Apt/Sympatic Update.. 'stuck'!! {SOLVED}

Hey there fellow tribesmen. I trust all is well!

I logged in, and there were 'apt' updates. So, I did. and did. did again. still did. rebooted did again.

Then it dawned on me. "Click the traycon, put in the root pass, click 'fetch updates', and then click apply." 8)
/sarcasm off

Anyrate, no matter how many times I do 'updates', I get the 'Kdelibs5 and Kdelibs5-Dev' needs updating. It DOES 'fetch', and the download progress bar DOES appear to download something. i.e. The progress fluxes with server traffic..

I'd put a snap shot, but since I listed the files, that'd be redundant. However, here is my
sources list..

Any help, or explanations are VERY welcome.

I had those libs in my update today as well and they installed fine with synaptic.

Are you using mint? Not that that should change anything but my advice would be to use synaptic as package manager and especially for updates/grades.

I don't know if you can install synaptic from adept with updates pending. Probably not, but then again I never use it so don't quote me.

Another path is to uninstall Kdelibs5 and Kdelibs5-Dev completely or do you use kde4 alpha as your major desktop . Install synaptic and reinstall your kdelibs5 with that.

Actually, I've heard good things about Mint, but no just Kubuntu Feisty...

I took your advice though and tried with Sympatic; no updates, the 'apt-get' tray tool still shows them though..

I'll not fret it, just wondering if I was the only one is all.

Don't worry about slander, I use it as well and am prettx satisfied.

This may be a stupid question but did you do a refresh in synaptic? If you did and you still don't get any updates then it is probably a adept thing, which happens.

Try sudo apt-get update in a terminal and see what it shows you. If you still see
kdelibs5 anywhere try sudo apt-get upgrade and let apt-get show any errors if any. That should narrow the problem down.

The point is that if apt is blocked for any reason you will find updating or installing anything difficult. so if it is a adept only issue you should be okay.
