Is there a GUI backup tool for FF like Syncback for instance?

    Like Keep?

    For external use only.

Don't use Keep. It's confusing and hard to use. Try Mondo or Ghost. You'll need a separate partition or external drive to place the backup file to. I'm trying to do the same thing but can't seem to repartition my HDD using Gparted. Maybe you were wise enough to partition your drive before installing Kubuntu.

Right - keep was fine except it needs a reocurring time schedule. But it will do. Thanks,

You can't resize partitions on a running system. Use gparted live:
          http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php
HP Pavilion dv6 core i7 (Main)
          4 GB Ram
          Kubuntu 18.10

I guess I can use Knoppix or any other Live distro

I can't remember if knoppix has gparted. What ever you do don't use qtparted. My humble advice is just download the gparted live cd. You will not regret it
