    Mouse Cursor Issue

I've tried using the search function to no avail, so here goes...

I'm using a Logitech MX1000 mouse and the mouse cursor moves erratically. To clarify: It will move in the general direction that I'm moving the mouse, but the mouse cursor will hop around. Makes it difficult to click on small buttons, or anyprecise mouse movement.

It's a wireless mouse, but the base is less than a foot from the mouse. In an attempt to rule out electrical interference, I've also placed the base so there was no other electrical components within 6 inches, it behaves the same.

    Some other notes:
The erratic behavior doesn't change under various programs.
My graphics card is an nVidia 6600 and the drivers are up to date.
The mouse is only a few months old and worked with no problems under Windows XP.

Probably need to adjust the resolution. Google around for things like "optical mouse resolution linux". Maybe try throwing an "xorg" in there.
    For external use only.

After some searching, I found locomo

Looks like it will do the job. After I get home, I'll give it a try and let you all know how if it worked.
