I just installed Kubuntu for the first time and forgot I need a program for loading my satellite receiver. I was wondering if there is a way to run the Viewsat loader2.exe program on kubuntu??

I am not familiar with it but you could try to install it under wine. If you have the exe file, right click on it and choose open with and in the menu select wine. Who knows it just might work.

Assuming you install Wine first, of course. K Menu > System > Adept Manager, search for "wine". There should be exactly one package named exactly "wine". Install that.For external use only.Comment

When I select wine as the program to use it thinks for a while then it disappears, does this mean it won't run it?Comment
