    hack personal password

I left my computer set up on the floor downstairs this morning because I haven't gotten an internet in my room yet. I just got Linux like six days ago and finally got it set up with everything. While i was out of the house my mom apparently knocked over my computer. It seemed just fine at first but when i tried to get into the add or remove programs, it wouldn't accept my password. i carefully typed it like ten times i know i typed it in right but it just wouldn't accept it. my best guess is that somehow my password got changed. i remember that when i got back the computer was displaying some search engine that had Wine as the query. i didn't see a change password window or the system settings window. If anyone knows what happened or how to change the password without my old one i would greatly appreciate any help.

Don't you gotta love an OS that fixes itself?
