    Evolution weirdness

    Hello all,

My wife uses Evolution as her email client. She tells me whenever she opens it, it will open and then immediately close on it's own. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 attempts for it to remain open.
Any ideas what is causing this?

I use Thunderbird and have never had any issues with it.

BTW - We're running Kubuntu Feisy Fawn.

    Thank you.

Try starting it from Konsole, as it will show any errors that occured.

No. Just "evolution". Avoid root privileges if possible.
        For external use only.

Well, the error message was: "Segmentation Fault ( Core Dumped ) "

I reinstalled Evolution from Synaptic and Uninstalled the Evolution-Plugins from same. So far seems to be OK, but takes quite a while for emails to come down from the server. We'll just monitor it for now I suppose. Thank you!
