Running 3rd Party Programs

Good day all.

I am trying to get certain scripts to startup at boot time (or at the very least at runlevel5)

I have a MUD server, and also my Grid Client that I would like to have startup when I boot.

In Fedora, you could just put the path and script file in rc.local
In Kubuntu - there is no rc.local

Could somebody point me in the right direction?

You might want to read /etc/init.d/README and/or /etc/rc*.d/README and the documents they refer to.
I'm sure there's a more user-friendly way, but I don't know of it. Sorry.

You can also put the commands/script snippets into the file /etc/rc.local

Hey Kubicle - thank you for the reply - I think I must be going blind in my old age.
When I posted yesterday - I swear I could not see an /etc/rc.local
now - it is there.
