Several modules in System Settings fail to load

    Hello,
Following a "disaster" with Synaptic, I started having some problems with the System Settings screen. Basically, some of the pages (i.e. the User Management page, the Disk & Filesystem page, the System Services page and so on) don't load; if I click on them, I get the message "The module User Management could not be loaded".
How do I reinstall those missing modules? I really need to access the users management page...

First of all, you may try to revert to KDE's own Control Center via [Alt][F2] kcontrol and check if the modules were actually missing - or if only the (redundant) Kubuntu System Settings had gone down the digital drain ...

Same thing with kcontrol. It doesn't display the error message, but when I click on those modules, on the right part of the screen I only get the kcontrol blue welcome screen...
