Help! Can't use KDM Theme Manager

Please can someone talk me through using the KDM theme manager? It is there and I can go into it, but it is all greyed out, and it says 'you need administrator privileges but there is no administrator button everything is greyed out and seems to be unabled, so please tell me what else I need in order to access the theme manager.

Do alt+f2 type kcontrol then navigate to:
system management Or something like that, mine is in german) find kdm manager. Click on administrator and give your pass word. Then you activate the theme manager.
