Annoying desktop watermark after fglrx install [solved]

I just installed the latest and greatest fglrx drivers and on reboot i'm getting this rather annoying always-on-top small square in the low right corner of the screen, with the amd logo and "Testing use only" text. The driver installation was normal and the card works exactly as supposed, but i have absolutely no idea how to turn that thing off.
Any help would be appreciated.

The 8.38.6 driver had introduced Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 support as well as some minor fixes, but nothing to spark interest in the minds of end-users. The second Linux driver released, 8.38.7, had come down the pipeline as a hot-fix release to correct a bug where aticonfig would crash and remove your xorg.conf. Moving forward to the 8.39.4 driver released today, we still have no AIGLX or R600 support, but we do have Fedora 7 support!

And we have AMD logo

Hmm - soon we have a hot-fix release (8.39.5 ?) to correct a bug.

Well, waiting for the hotfix, since it is apparently quite difficult to manually remove...  >

now it's removed completely from the ati site... waiting though for a quick fix >

well hopefully by the time they roll out a new upgrade the avivo will be usable (as it already looks promising) so i can forget all about this fglrx thing
