    NTP?

    What do I need to do to get a NTP installed and configured.

    The client: sudo apt-get install ntpdate (further reading)

      Just to make sure:

      "Afterwards, every time you log in to the console as root, the system clock will be synchronized."

      means that when I sudo, it updates? I'm not used to sudo because I used su from SuSE which I abandoned for Kubuntu.

        That depends

        You may either settle for the second option mentioned (i.e. a cron job)
        - or "revive the root account" (as described in this text).
