    kubuntu default partitioning software

    Hi ,
    i am out of space on / (the root system dir) , so i can't use adept ,
    what is the default partitioning software in kubuntu , to resize / partition ?

      None is installed by default. You can try to use the Live CD and use QtParted (installed there) to resize partitions.

          1. You may download GParted directly to a stick and boot from there (?).
          2. Did you try to sudo apt-get clean in order to clear at least some space?

            yes ,
            bytes available 0
            i got patitioning software on a bootable cd ...
            I don't want to reboot ... want to rezise now .

              Also, you can't resize a partition that's currently mounted. And / is currently mounted while you're still logged in. The only way you can resize / is if you boot from somewhere else.
