Login problem

I've just installed edgy in my PC. But it looks like I have made a mistake during the install: I can't pass the 'login-password' screen. I must have typed wrong the login name or the password.

¿Is there a way I can recover the root login and pass?

Merely a wild guess - but are you using the same keyboard layout as your system (which defaults to "US" / "QWERTY") ...?

I'm from Spain, so I have the qwerty keyb. This is my second or third kubuntu install in the same computer, so I think it's not the problem.

Finally I've given up. Reinstalling kubuntu has taken me 20-25 minutes, its much easier than solving the problem.
