Kaffeine, xine and subtitles - problem

Hello to all

I have a little problem here, hope you can help me.

I am using Kubuntu 7.04, and I'm using Kaffeine for watching movies. But the problem is, that I cannot see the subtitles with their original letters - I mean I am Bulgarian and the subtitles are in Cyrillic , so the problem is with encoding the subtitles right.

I've tried changing the subtitles encoding to cp1251 (in xine settings), but that didn't helped. Anyone can help me?

Well, the subtitles are displayed with incorrect symbols - non Cyrillic symbols.

OK, I've tried entering this into the xine settings, but that didn't worked - the symbols were again in Maymunitsa.

My guess is that something is wrong with the cp1251 encoding support, but I'm new to linux and don't know much about that OS. Is there something that should be installed to enable cp1251 encoding support? I've installed the KDE Bulgarian language pack with the help of the control center.
