Adept wont let me download

Hi,

Having a huge problem with adept manager!
It wont let me download anything and only the regret button shows, not aply button.Its all grey.
And Synaptic wont let me download anything either.

(trying to download cmake and gcc so i can install)

What does sudo apt-get update result in?

when i type sudo apt-get update i get "reads packagelists...Done".Nothing more.

Neat then, what does more /etc/apt/sources.list | grep -v '#' result in?

Seems like i dont got sources.list in apt

I'd rather think your list is empty or otherwise invalid.
Build a new one by means of this tool, then try again.

I like mine better.

Of course, mine doesn't do unofficial repos... yet.
