Problem using the KDM theme manager.(Solved, some what)

Alright, trying to change themes using the KDM theme manager (Accessible via K->System Settings->Appearance->KDM Theme Manager). However, it says, in a box above the theme lists (Which is greyed out):
Changes in this section requires root access.
Click the "Administrator Mode" button to allow modifications.
However... There is no "Administrator Mode" button.

I have solved this.. to a degree via running kdmtheme in the Run Command prompt, and it has an "Administrator Mode" button on it.

Unless you have an actual problem with the manger application itself, the Administrator button is located on the bottom right of the right side display. If you are running a screen resolution that does not allow a full display of the open window, you would need to scroll the window down to see it. When clicked, you are prompted for the root password (your's, assuming you are the first user installed on the system).
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

I have this same problem and it not a scrolling issue. The 'administrator' button is simply not there to click on.

This is a very common problem, and it's a problem with kubuntu's System Settings panel, you want to be using KDE's Control center instead.

A search of the forum yielded this very helpful thread.

An alternative solution is to use kcontrol to manage your theme settings. Either use the run dialogue and enter kcontrol or start it from a terminal.
