Adjusting the panel on which trayicons reside

    Hi, everybody.
I'm trying to organize the trayicons the way icons are arranged in a quick launcher panel. The current way is: icons are displayed side by side. In the quick launcher panel, icons are placed in 2 rows with multiple columns. For example, if you have 4 icons in your quick launcher, they will be displayed 2x2, a square matrix, but in the system tray they are side by side.
I remember I had it working in Dapper, but after upgrading to Edgy and Feisty changed the system tray style.
Right-clicking on the panel has no options to adjust this.
    Any way to solve it?
    Thanks a lot.

I have 2 images to illustrate what I mean. The first one is the quick launcher, where icons are displayed the way I want and how the system tray used to be in Dapper.

This one is how the trayicons are currently displayed. Not that I'm against it, I just found it strange to suddenly have the desktop stuff modified from one version to another.
